- 1/4 cup milk
- For rice
- 3 cups basmati rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 green bell
- 1/2 red bell
- 3 tbsp peri peri sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2-3 tbsp butter
- to taste Salt
- Water to boil rice
- For peri peri sauce
- 1 small red bell
- 3 red chillies
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp paprika powder
- 2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 4-5 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- to taste Salt
- 1 pinch red food colour
- For the grilled chicken*
- 1 kg boneless chicken cut into 1×6 inch strips
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp thick curd
- 2 tbsp peri peri sauce
- to taste Salt
- 1 tsp butter
Instructions to make to make Peri peri chicken
- Prepare the sauce by grinding all the mentioned ingredients to a smooth paste. Marinate the chicken will all the ingredients mentioned under grilled chicken and set aside for 1 hour. After an hour grill the chicken in the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes.



- Preparing the gravy. Cut the grilled chicken into small bite sized pieces and set aside. Heat butter in a pan, add the onions, green chillies and saute for a few minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, salt and fry for a few minutes. Next add the tomato puree, peri peri sauce and the capsicum. Cook for a few minutes. Add in the chicken pieces and cook. Add the cornflour dissolved in water and thicken the gravy. Lastly add the milk and let it come to a boil. Set aside.



- Preparing the rice. Par boil the rice till 80 % done. Strain and set aside. In a vessel heat butter. Add the onions and saute for a few minutes. Add the ginger garlic paste, and the red and green bells. Cook for a few minutes. Add the peri peri sauce, tomato sauce and salt. Mix well. Add the boiled rice and mix everything well. Cover and simmer till done. Enjoy!
